At the age of 10, armed with nothing more than an old VCR camera pilfered from my grandfather's office, I embarked on my first cinematic venture—one of many adventures shared with my cousins that ignited my lifelong passion for visual storytelling. Little did I know that this initial spark set the stage for my journey.
Fast forward to the age of 17, when I was given my very own photo camera—a transformative moment that further stoked the flames of my creativity. I began by capturing events, making memories with friends, then experimented with self-portraits & portraits of friends, and finally quenched my thirst for adventure, taking my camera with me on long term and distant trips.
The trajectory of my craft took a profound turn as I ventured to Iraq—an exciting yet dangerous photography internship amidst the world of warzone freelance journalists (with Osie Greenway & Anne Alling). Throughout these intense experiences, I also deepened my knowledge of graphic design and honed my event planning skills.
Upon returning from Iraq, my journey naturally led me towards the realm of video. I eagerly delved into a cinema workshop, seeking to enhance my capacity to weave visual narratives. This immersion propelled me further, leading me to swiftly join a comprehensive bachelor program in filmmaking.
With every step, my purpose grew clearer. For my final project within my Bachelor's degree in Art, I meticulously wrote, directed, and edited a very personal short film —a culmination of my studies of the art of storytelling with a touch of my passion for psychology.
In the exhilarating two years that followed, I've formed meaningful collaborations with musicians, writers, directors, singers, fashion designers, visual artists, associations, and small businesses. As a hands-on DOP, camera operator, and editor, I've been dedicated to bringing visual concepts to vibrant life.
